Petoskey State Park Closure Information

Starting on September 3, 2025, Petoskey State Park will close to the public while they work on major upgrades to their sewer and septic systems.
The park will be of limited use in two phases:
Partial Closure (September 2025 – October 2025):
Starting September 3, 2025, the Petoskey State Park will close all campgrounds and trails (Dunes Campground, Tannery Creek Campground, Portage Trail, Old Baldy Trail, and the dump station) until May 2026. The day-use areas like the beach, beach parking lots, and picnic areas will tentatively remain open during this time.
Complete Park Closure (October 2025 – May 2026):
Starting October 1, 2025, the Petoskey State Park will also close all day-use areas, including the Beach Access, Beach House, Beach Parking Lots, and Picnic. The campground and trail systems within the park will remain closed during this time.
