Tunnel of Trees Closure Information

The scenic Tunnel of Trees route along M-119 north of Harbor Springs has several washed-out sections of road, making it impassable in those locations. Detours have been put in place to keep your favorite places along M-119 accessible.

While recovery planning is underway, you should plan accordingly if you plan to visit this area, please call ahead to ensure you will have access. We look forward to welcoming you to the Petoskey Area soon!

M-119 / Tunnel of Trees – Closure Information

Due to extensive roadway damage, M-119 / Tunnel of Trees is closed to through traffic from Terpening Rd. to Robinson Rd. (Good Hart).
For your safety, unless you are a resident or business owner, you can NOT enter the closed sections of M-119 until further notice.

South of the Closure

Businesses located SOUTH of the closure, just north of HARBOR SPRINGS, can still be reached via M-119.

Currently, the following businesses are open:

North of Closure: Near Good Hart

Businesses located NORTH of the closure, near GOOD HART, can be reached via the detour.
Detour Directions (also on the map): Take M-119 to Terpening Rd. and turn left on Stutsmanville Rd. Then turn right on Townline / Church Rd. Then turn left on Robinson Rd. to Good Hart.
Currently, the following businesses are open:

Trillium Woods Coffee Access: Limited access only via Stutsanville Rd. to M-119. Traffic is not allowed past Trillium Woods Coffee in this section.

North of the Closure: Near Cross Village

Businesses located NORTH of the closure, near CROSS VILLAGE, can be reached by taking State Road north from Harbor Springs. While M-119 is open north of Good Hart, it is still closed between Island View Rd. and Cross Village.
