Get ready for Crooked Tree Arts Center – Petoskey’s annual Youth Art Show! Beginning March 19, our Gilbert and Bonfield Galleries will be covered floor to ceiling with thousands of unique works of art created by area student artists.

The exhibition will be on display March 19 – May 3, 2024. There will be an opening reception on March 19, 2024, from 5:30 – 7:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Awards will be selected during the first month of the exhibition and announced at our award ceremony on Wednesday, April 24, from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. Award-winning artists will be notified by their teacher one week prior to the ceremony.

Each year, Emmet County Parks and Recreation invites the public and campers to a free pancake and sausage breakfast for Father’s Day at Camp Pet-O-Se-Ga. Breakfast will run
9 to 11 am on Sunday, June 16. There is no charge for the breakfast. Campers are invited to enjoy breakfast at Camp Petosega’s Rec Hall. Come while supply lasts! 

Welcome to Kidz Cottage Pottery Painting at Lavender Hill Farm on Monday, June 17! This class is all about exploring your artistic side and having fun with pottery.

Our experienced instructor will guide you through the process of painting pottery, from selecting your colors and brushes to adding details and designs. You’ll get to experiment with different painting techniques, patterns, and styles to create unique and beautiful pieces of art.

Save the Date for the 2024 Blessing of the Fleet in Harbor Springs by the Harbor Springs Historical Society on Thursday, June 27, 2024.

Bring the whole family for Friday at Lavender Hill Farm! Guests of all ages are welcome to enjoy the atmosphere at our beautiful lavender farm during the height of our season. Bring a picnic and enjoy the many other Lavender Fest Friday activities we have scheduled throughout the summer. Our farm is FREE to visit. Each week will feature live music, face painting, food vendors and additional classes and activities!

Come join Emmet County Parks and Recreation for an Independence Day 5K run and walk for all ages which will benefit our local parks and facilities. Wear red, white, and blue in celebration of Independence Day! This will take place at Camp Petosega in Alanson, Michigan on the cross-country trail.
