6th Annual Balloons Over Bay Harbor 2026

Balloons Over Bay Harbor is back for its 7th Annual event on Friday, September 11th, through Sunday, September 13th. During this hot air balloon festival, you can witness four hot air balloon flights from take off to soaring through the skies over Bay Harbor and Lake Michigan. In previous years, you could enjoy fun things like: balloon-themed paint & sip, family paint activity, tethered balloon rides, pilot and crew meet & greet, hot air balloon night glow show, artisan market, food trucks, and MORE!

As you can imagine, the flight of these balloons is very weather-dependent, and the launch location could shift in the case of inclement weather. It is best to keep an eye on the event’s Facebook page leading up to and on the day of the event for updates!

We can’t wait to bring back these beautiful balloons, as well as fun family activities throughout the weekend in Bay Harbor.
