Petoskey Area downtowns in Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Boyne City, and Bay Harbor all have unique stores to explore, plus if you’re looking to check out local produce and purveyors, there are several Farmers Markets.
The Gaslight Shopping District in Petoskey is one that is heavily talked about. This is located in Downtown Petoskey, wherever you see those green gaslights along the street. From local jewelers and artisans to souvenir shops with locally made items to browse.

Arts, Culture, & History
The Petoskey Area is a host to many art galleries – singularly owned and some that are home to collections, area museums, historical sites and buildings, and is known for being Ernest Hemingway’s summer place in his youth. Historic Bay View is a fantastic place that is on the National Register for Historic Places that has been established in 1875. Here, you can go on a self-guided historic walking tour in the warmer months.
