Hemingway’s Michigan (Self-Guided Tour)

Ernest Hemingway spent many of his boyhood summers in the Petoskey Area. He had a cottage on Walloon Lake (which is now a private residence), but also frequented businesses around the tiny community.

Follow this link: Hemingway Brochure – and download a map highlighting some of the locations associated with young Ernest. Do the tour and you’ll find plaques with even more information at some of the sites.

And if you’re interested in the Nobel-prize winning author, make sure to stop in at the Little Traverse Historical Museum located at 100 Depot Court, Petoskey.
