Northern Lights Recreation is Northern Michigan’s place for bowling, laser tag, an arcade, pool tables, music, and dining, and is located on M 119 in Harbor Springs!
Our multi-level, state-of-the-art Laser Tag Arena is nothing like Northern Michigan has ever seen! View the players in the arena on the second-story observation deck and challenge your friends to an exciting game of laser tag in our Lost City Arena. The Sassy Loon Bar and Grill at Northern Lights Recreation is our full-service 150-seat restaurant. Serving lunch and dinner daily, beginning at 11:00 am we’re a great restaurant that just happens to have a bowling alley! The Sassy Loon Bar and Grill has been nominated Best Overall Restaurant, Best Dining Experience, and Best Place to Have a Cold Beer in the “Best of the Northwest” competition through the Petoskey News Review.
In the summer, dine on the outside patio and try one of their delicious menu items such as a half-pound burger using local meat, our hand-tossed pizza, fried fish, pasta, seafood, or a Mexican entree. In the winter, come inside and sit by the cozy fireplace and warm up with our specialty coffees or drinks. With twenty beers on tap, Northern Lights boasts one of the largest selections of beer, craft, and local, wine and liquor choices in the area.
Weekends come to life at Northern Lights Recreation! In the Sassy Loon Bar and Grill, some of the best bands Northern Michigan has to offer play Fridays and Saturdays during the winter with no cover charge. The bands begin at 9:00 PM. Northern Lights Recreation and The Sassy Loon Bar and Grill are located at 8865 M-119 (Harbor-Petoskey Road) across from the Harbor Springs airport. They are between Petoskey and Harbor Springs, Michigan – just a 5-mile drive from either of the downtown areas!
