The price is right, and you’re invited to come on down (or over depending on where in Canada you live) and spend your spring break in the Petoskey Area of northern Michigan. Forget the sunscreen and crowds and head to a different kind of spring break where three ski areas totaling more than 160 downhill runs are all within a reasonable drive.

Depending on Mother Nature, you could rev it up on our snowmobile trails, glide across our rinks on ice skates, or explore beautiful forests on cross-country skis or snowshoes. And downhill skiing is a given thanks to early season snowfall and incredible snowmaking at each of the ski resorts: Boyne Highlands and Nub’s Nob in Harbor Springs and Boyne Mountain in Boyne Falls.

Boyne Highlands is offering a whole buffet of family friendly options during Canadian week including bonfires and s’mores, tubing, story time, groomer rides and more.

Just south of Petoskey at Boyne Mountain, they, too, are serving a full course of options from friendly horseback riding, to exciting ziplines, dinner buffets, and big splashes at Avalanche Bay, Michigan’s largest indoor waterpark.

Both the Highlands and the Mountain will have lifts spinning into the evening, skiing and board lessons and live entertainment. And both are offering all the amenities at par to Canadians – just charge the good times to your room and pay with Canadian cash or check upon departure to receive the discount March 11-16, 2018.

Buy a full-day lift ticket using Canadian currency at Nub’s Nob and your ticket is yours at par. The resort itself doesn’t have lodging, but Trout Creek is just minutes away and will give you one free midweek night for each three purchased at regular price in their fully furnished condominiums (American dollars).

Comfort Inn, about six miles from Nub’s, will knock 20% off your room rate when booking with them directly and the Birchwood Inn is just minutes away, too, and offering rooms at par when paying with Canadian cash March 9-18, 2018. At the Odawa Hotel, “March Break = Even Money” where Canadian guests staying three consecutive nights in March will receive 20% off lodging rates. A valid ID is required to take advantage of the Odawa promotion, but they’ll honor it all month long.

Invest a few hours in driving and you’ll find yourself in a vacation wonderland without the hassle of transfers, high-priced plane tickets and missed connections. Need a little help planning? Visit PetoskeyArea.com. Welcome to the Petoskey Area of northern Michigan – and Happy Spring Break!
