Wet Paint Sale: Little Traverse Bay Region

Original paintings created by regional artists will be on display and available for sale at Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey. From July 22-31, CTAC-Petoskey is inviting plein-air artists for a 10-day painting event, depicting the charm of the Little Traverse Bay region. Local artists will paint across fields, woods, harbors, Petoskey’s iconic downtown, and other regional spots. On Thursday, July 31, we’re inviting guests to view and purchase art while mingling with the artists.

WET PAINT SALE 

• The Wet Paint Sale will take place at CTAC – Petoskey on Thursday, July 31, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, preceding the film screening of A Two Hearted Ale
• All works must be framed and ready to hang
• All works must be clearly labeled with artist name, title, and price.
• Artists are responsible for pricing all artwork.
• All sales are split commission, with 60% going to the artist and 40% retained by CTAC.
• Artists must pick up unsold artwork on Thursday, July 31, between 7-7:15 pm

ARTIST AWARDS 

• An independent juror will award prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
• Awards are as follows: First Place: $500, Second Place: $300, and Third Place: $200.

ARTWORK CHECK-IN 

• Artists may submit up to three pieces. Completed and ready-to-hang artwork must be turned in at CTAC – Petoskey from 10 AM – Noon, on Thursday, July 31, 2025. Work may be turned in earlier in the week.
• Complete artwork ID tag at delivery
