Join Little Traverse Conservancy for a Tree Planting event at Consuelo Diane & Charles L. Wilson Jr. Working Forest Reserve on Sunday, May 5th from 10 AM – 2 PM.
This tree planting work day will consist of planting 500 trees! The goal is to reforest an old field that is currently invaded by invasive knapweed. They hope that the pine trees will eventually shade out the invasive plant and allow the development of mesic northern hardwood forests. This event will run from 10 am to 2 pm or until all trees are planted! If you would like to bring lunch, you are more than welcome, but snacks and water will be provided to you.
