Pine Tree Planting at David H. Irish Nature Preserve

Join Little Traverse Conservancy for a Pine Tree Planting event at David H. Irish Nature Preserve on Saturday, May 4th from 10 AM – 2 PM.

During this event, 500 pine trees will be replaced that died during last year’s spring drought. The replacement pines are being planted with the hopes of being more resilient and creating shadier conditions to allow more diverse species to be planted in the future. This event will start at 10 am and go until 2 pm, or whenever all trees have been planted. Registration is required so they can make sure they bring enough tools to keep everyone busy! If you want to bring lunch, you are more than welcome, but snacks and water will be provided for you as well!
