Join the Harbor Springs Chapter North Country Scenic Trail for a group hike on Saturday, June 7 at 9 AM.
Hike Details: Lady Slippers Hike – Hike section 10 north towards French Farm Lake – 5.25 miles
Meeting Location
Meet at Section 11 Trailhead, French Farm Lake Road, 1/2 mile south of Trails End Road, then drive (spot) cars to Cecil Bay Road and hike to French Farm Lake Road.
If you are just doing an out-and-back to the dam, we will leave as soon as the cars arrive from French Farm Lake Road. The bridge is being redone and should be finished if they are on schedule. If not, stay tuned for updates.

Trail Description
The trail includes balsam, cedar and pine forests. It crosses Carp River and French Farm Lake dam. It includes many puncheon walkways over streams and wet areas. Two miles of the trail border French Farm Lake with many scenic views and waterfowl viewing in summer. Many lady slipper flowers and other flowers are likely to be in bloom during the time of this hike.
