Harbor Springs History Museum will host a history talk on Margaret Boyd and Odawa Quillwork on July 25th at 5:30 PM.
Join Eric Hemenway, Director of Archives and Records for the LTBB Odawa Tribe, for a look at the life and work of Margaret Blackbird Boyd and her impact on local history. The sister to Andrew Blackbird, Margaret was a teacher and artist who was a fixture in the community in the mid-19th century.
This History Talk is part of a pop-up exhibit at the Blackbird Museum featuring a quillwork book cover Margaret Boyd created around 1900. This one-of-a-kind artifact is visiting Harbor Springs from Amherst College and will be on display from Tuesday, July 23 – Friday, July 26.
