Mandala Quilt Block Making Class

Join Grandpa Shorter’s at The Katydid in Petoskey for Mandala Quilt Block Making Class. The word mandala is an ancient Sanskrit word meaning circle. It is said to represent the universe. Mandalas typically start in the center and radiate out from there in an ever-widening pattern, using colors and shapes to design an intricate pattern. There is no wrong or right in the art of mandala. You make choices that feel right to you, at the moment, and when you are done, you stand back and admire your creation.

For this class, we will be using acrylic on canvas to make mandala quilt blocks! No experience is required. All materials will be provided.
