Headlands Light’s Out Challenge

8:00 PM Light Pollution Presentation | 10:30 PM Lights Out Challenge. Once again, Emmet County’s Headlands International Dark Sky Park challenges the communities around Northern Michigan to turn off their lights so that we can try to get the darkest sky ever recorded at the Headlands. This challenge will take place from 10:30 pm to 11:30 pm on the night of the new moon. Also, a presentation about the effects of light pollution will take place in the Waterfront Event Center at 8 pm.
