Restoring Yoga & Nidra workshop, ideal for individuals seeking stress relief and deep relaxation. The event is open to all levels. Throughout this workshop you will benefit effective use of props in restorative asanas, and discover aspects of neuroscience, as well as Yoga Nidra theory.

Bela is a Romanian-born, Greek-raised certified yoga teacher 500hr with Yoga Alliance (multi-style), with a deep passion for yoga and meditation by connecting movement with breath for building strength and flexibility in body and mind.

Her military background as an adolescent and her travels around the world from a young age taught her the values of discipline, integrity, perseverance, and empathy. Specializing in Hatha, Vinyasa, and Restorative practices, and holding professional experience in Europe, the US, and Bali -Indonesia, her students gravitate to her graceful approach of creating a safe space to breathe and move with awareness.

Join The Katydid in their “Choose your Mandala” Class on October 6th. The word mandala is an ancient Sanskrit word meaning circle. It is said to represent the universe. Mandalas typically start in the center and radiate out from there in an ever widening pattern, using colors and shapes to design an intricate pattern.

There is no wrong or right in the art of mandala. You make choices that feel right to you, in the moment, and when you are done, you stand back and admire your creation.

For this class, you will have the option to paint a mandala pattern on either a 3×3 canvas, rock, dish, or wine stopper! No experience is required. All materials will be provided.

Spend a spooktacular Wednesday evening at Lavender Hill Farm while creating your own fresh floral and pumpkin decoration. Check this out on Wednesday, October 23rd from 6 – 8 PM. Design a unique and festive Halloween themed arrangement to take with you and enjoy in your home. Join skilled florist Sydney Wormell as she teaches the basics and a bit beyond of floral arranging. Carve and paint your own, or choose from stencils to create a hauntingly ghoulish image outside of your pumpkin. Then choose your own spine-tingling stems and creepy décor to piece together a boo-tiful arrangement all your own. All materials and step-by-step instruction will be provided by Sydney from Upsy-Daisy Floral.

Want to learn how to paint pumpkins in watercolor? Look no further! The Katydid is hosting a class with artist Karen Mazzoline, and she will teach you how to create realistic pumpkins on 4 x 6 paper. Choose from a variety of designs or create your own!

When finished, you will take home two framed pumpkin creations, ready to decorate your home in time for Thanksgiving! All materials are provided, so just bring your enthusiasm to paint!
