Biking & Hiking Trails

Biking Trails: Bike riding, rollerblading or skateboarding are all cool activities you can do alone or with friends or family. Beautiful trails are an added incentive to get out and move. The places listed below either have trails or gear available.

For bike trail maps, visit trailscouncil.orgupnorthtrails.orgmichigantrailmaps.com, and wmtrails.org.

Hiking Trails: Grab your water bottle and cell phone for taking pictures and head in almost any direction to find a beautiful trail, some of which are multi-use. For trail maps of our scenic area visit upnorthtrails.orgmichigantrailmaps.com, and wmtrails.org.

Protect these and all Michigan trails by not using them when muddy.

Riding or walking on a muddy trail destroys the surface. It leaves ruts/deep holes, uneven tires, and footprints, contributes to erosion, and creates a hard-to-fix trail surface. Hint: If you are leaving visible bicycle ruts, deep footprints or hoof tracks the trail is too muddy. Please use appropriate trail etiquette.
