Terrace Inn and 1911 Restaurant
The Terrace Inn and 1911 Restaurant is located in Bay View, Petoskey, a summer resort on the National Historic Register. Established in 1911, the Inn has 38 guest rooms and on site restaurant serving fine food, beer, wine and cocktails. Peak season is mid-June through Labor Day. The outdoor dining terrace and patio offer scenic views overlooking Victorian Cottages and Parks with glimpses of Little Traverse Bay. Fall color season is very popular and guests love the quiet of winter here. Restaurant service varies according season – please ask when reserving. Lodging/Dining packages are a great value and winter is truly magical as roads are left unplowed and accessible for snow-shoeing, cross country and hiking in the nearby wooded trails.
All rooms have private baths and a blend of vintage furnishings and modern amenities (WiFi) and Cable TV. Some rooms can adjoin for friends or family. King Suites have added electric FP, jetted bath/tub, microwave, mini-frig and coffeemaker and the most spacious suites (King Whirlpool Suites) have larger jetted tub and everything the suites have as well as larger shower with double jets.
Housekeeping daily per Covid guidelines is offered and an amazing breakfast included! One apartment is pet friendly. Unfortunately, the Inn is not handicap accessible. At over hundred years old, 5 main floor rooms are suggested for those who cannot manage stairs. The rest are accessed by a wide staircase.
Petoskey’s charming gaslight shopping district is conveniently just a mile away, and many guests will walk the Greenway Rail to Trail to downtown.
The Inn is open to the public and the perfect destination to enjoy everything the area has to offer and a “home away from home” feeling with friendly service and a lodging and dining experience you won’t soon forget.
Covid guidelines are followed and we adapt accordingly and do our best to ensure every guest has a safe, comfortable and memorable visit!
