This conveniently located trail is called Round Lake Nature Preserve. Parking is available next to the Little Traverse Conservancy office off of Powell Road in Harbor Springs.

This preserve consists of mixed hardwoods and conifer forest, lowland cedar swamp, and marshlands along the lake near the viewing platform.

School groups often use this preserve for environmental education programs. A new boardwalk, signs, and an overlook platform were completed in 2017 with a grant from the Petoskey-Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation.
