Inland Waterway
Touted as “one of the most beautiful small boat trips in the country,” the 38-mile waterway is Michigan’s longest chain of rivers and lakes. It begins at Crooked Lake, then runs through Crooked River, Burt Lake, Indian River, Mullett Lake, Cheboygan River, and finally out to Lake Huron.
Much of Crooked River is a no-wake zone, so if you’re looking for a relaxing, peaceful trip, it’s a good stretch to navigate.
