Horton Bay General Store

Originally established in 1875, this building has served as a store, post office, and as the village’s center of business and social life. This is also a stop of Hemingway’s Michigan self-guided tour in northern Michigan. He frequented this as a boy and young man.

Horton Bay General Store is now a functioning general store with beer, wine, spirits, gourmet foods, cheese, and charcuterie selection, deli, coffee, espresso, scones, muffins, unique/ novelty gifts, beach gear, merchandise, chocolate, and MORE!
