Serita Crowley of Serita’s Black Rose, a self-proclaimed “Funkateer” from Grand Rapids, Michigan, delivers an electrifying fusion of FUNK, ROCK, BLUES, NEO-SOUL, and AMERICANA. With nearly two decades of performing experience alongside partner Jon Hayes, they captivate audiences as an acoustic duo or full band, bringing forth both timeless “feel-good music” from the 60s and 70s and their own original compositions. Their EP, released in 2012, earned multiple awards, including WYCE’s Jammie Award for “Best Short Form Album,” while also serving as the opening act for legendary artists like Smokey Robinson of Motown and Kansas.
