Crooked River Lock

Located on the beautiful Inland Waterway that stretches 36 miles from Crooked River to Lake Huron, the Crooked River Locks was built by the Army Corp of Engineers to allow for easy passage between Crooked River and Crooked Lake.

The Locks are now under operational management by Emmet County partnering with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to run the lock. There is a fee to enter the locks and may be purchased daily or seasonally.

This is truly one of the most scenic boating routes in Michigan. Rate and schedule information may be found HERE.
