Little Traverse History Museum

The Little Traverse History Museum will be opening for its 2024 summer season as they celebrate 50 years. The Museum’s hours of operation are 10 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Saturday. Museum admission is $3 for adults but is always free for children and museum members.

The museum hosts several historical collections, including one dedicated to the author Ernest Hemingway, who spent his summers and the winter of 1919-1920 in Petoskey, Michigan. The museum has recently acquired a piano belonging to Hemingway’s mother, Grace Hall Hemingway to add to the Hemingway Collection. Additionally, the museum houses collections dedicated to vintage photographs and women’s suffrage in Petoskey. The historical society also hosts the annual Corn Roast, which will take place at the museum on August 19th.

Groups are welcome. For best service, please contact the Museum at 231.347.2620 at least two weeks before arrival if you are bringing a motorcoach.
