Part 2 – with Beth Wemigwase
Drawing on original written documents and photographs from the society’s extensive archives, Program Coordinator Beth Wemigwase unravels the story of Harbor Springs in this presentation.
This lecture picks up where part one of the series stopped, at the eve of World War I with our town in the middle of sweeping changes in settlement trends, economic base and lifestyles. Wemigwase will cover the outbreak of Spanish Influenza in 1918, WWI and WWII, Prohibition, local hotels and more.
The talk begins at 5:30 pm at the Harbor Springs History Museum and cookies and coffee will be provided. Advanced registration is appreciated.
