Kick-off summer with Crooked Tree Arts Center’s Opening Celebration on Saturday, June 18, 10 AM – 5 PM. Enjoy a family-friendly day of free activities to celebrate CTAC-Petoskey’s summer programming and new exhibits, Honky Tonk: Photographs by Henry Horenstein, Singulars: Work by Lynn Bennett-Carpenter and Gretchen Dorian: A Collection from 1970 to Present.
Festivities include arts and crafts, artist talks with renowned photographers Bill Schwab and Gretchen Dorian, live music, and more during this day-long celebration.
Do-si-do and swing your partner side-to-side on the Bidwell Plaza as you square-dance with Harbor HoeDown while enjoying hot dogs, chips, cookies, and lemonade from noon to 2 PM.
A unique movement workshop with local artists Benjamin Cheney, Mauriah Donegan, and exhibit artist Lynne Bennett-Carpenter will take place in the theater at 1 PM followed by live music with Steel & Wood Bluegrass. Their traditional music with roots in Southern Appalachia will feature original tunes, classic country, and folk-rock favorites.
