Join us for one of our super fun Halloween Weekends on Saturday, October 5, or on Saturday, October 12! Park staff will be giving an award to the Best Decorated Campsite so campers are encouraged to spruce up their sites to get in the Halloween spirit! Trick-or-treating will take place from 5-7 p.m. with vehicle traffic restricted during that time through the campground. Emmet County Parks and Recreation staff will have free hot dogs, chips, and drinks near the campground office followed by a free Haunted Trail open 7:30-8:30 p.m. All activities are weather-permitting and the general public is welcome to come out and join in the fun! 

Bring a dish to pass and carve pumpkins with your yoga friends. We will provide silverware, plates, napkins, water, cider and doughnuts. Limited carving tools available.

Join Beards Brewery for their Beardstoberfest and Halloween Boogie on Saturday, October 26th and Sunday, October 27th.

Join Downtown Petoskey for Trick or Treating throughout the Downtown Stores!

Line up at Central Elementary School beginning at 9:45 am for the Costume Parade! The parade will start at 10 am and march from Central Elementary down Howard Street to Pennsylvania Park in Downtown Petoskey. For the safety of the Trick or Treaters, the Downtown streets will be open to just foot traffic.

Join the Bay Harbor Village for their 15th Annual Trunk ‘R Treat in the Village!

This is a fun, fast-paced hour along Main Street with cars lined up and trunks open with goodies for all!  Bring the kids down before the trick or treating starts in local communities for a safe way to celebrate.

Get ready to deck the halls and jingle all the way because Sweetwater Floral is bringing the Christmas magic to Boyne Mountain Resort with WreathFest 2024 on November 8th – 10th!

Picture this: you, surrounded by jolly folks, all crafting their very own magnificent wreaths like the creative geniuses you are! Sweetwater Floral’s signature Wreath Workshop is here to sprinkle some festive fun in your life. It’s time to put those nimble fingers to work and create the most dazzling hand-made greenery wreath you’ve ever laid eyes on!

No clue about wreath-making? No worries! Kalin Sheick, the wreath extraordinaire and owner of Sweetwater Floral, will be your cheerful guide through this holly-jolly adventure. With her expertise, you’ll be crafting wreaths like a pro in no time!

The Emmet County Fairgrounds will be hosting the annual Handmade Holiday Craft Show benefiting Brother Dan’s Food Pantry, from 9 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, November 23. The
Community Building will host local vendors featuring handmade items for sale just in time for the holiday season. Brother Dan’s will be collecting admission and concession sales to benefit feeding local families. Admission is $2 or a non-perishable food item. 

On Saturday, November 30th, at 6:00 p.m., join the Harbor Springs Area Chamber of Commerce to celebrate 109 years of a magical tradition in downtown Harbor Springs at the annual Christmas Tree Lighting.

Also available again this year is the mailbox to Santa that will be located at the Lyric Threatre. Make sure your children write their letters to Santa and drop them off anytime the month of December.  

Main Street, west of State Street, will be closed to traffic beginning at 3p on Saturday.

At 6:00 PM, Celebrate 109 years of a magical tradition in downtown Harbor Springs at the Christmas Tree Lighting. Gather with your friends and neighbors to sing carols, enjoy the lighting of the tree on Main Street, and celebrate the winners of the annual window decorating contest. 

The public is then invited to attend an ecumenical chili dinner in the Holy Childhood Parish Hall at 150 W Main Street, just adjacent to the tree, where you can also see Santa, enjoy homemade cookies and hot cocoa, courtesy of the American Legion Auxiliary and their sponsor First Community Bank!

‘Tis the season for Holiday Swirl! Join us on Thursday, December 5, 5:30 – 7 PM for a festive evening of merriment, hearty appetizers, and mini sweet treats prepared by Spring & Porter. At Holiday Swirl you’ll mix and mingle to holiday tunes with Pete Kehoe as you shop the Holiday Bazaar! CTAC Members receive 20% OFF all art and gift sales!

Tickets are $30 for CTAC Members and $35 for not-yet members and include one drink ticket. Wine will be served. Cash bar to follow. 

Spring & Porter menu: venison meatballs, potato & cheese pierogi, country pork pate, lump crab cakes, and artichoke bruschetta.

You are invited to join Downtown Petoskey merchants for hospitality and shopping at the Downtown Petoskey Holiday Open House. Meet your friends and neighbors and bask in the ambiance of the holiday season.

Held the first Friday in December, December 6, from 6 to 9 pm, the Holiday Open House begins with an appearance by Santa Claus, who flies into town to light the giant Christmas tree in Pennsylvania Park and greet children on the streets! The tree lighting ceremony begins promptly at 6. Enjoy the Downtown Social District – carry your adult beverage with you when you walk from store to store. This is the night when the streets close, and the merchants open their doors to offer warm holiday greetings and hospitality. The Petoskey High School Steel Drum Band will be here for its annual appearance. Windows are decorated in holiday style, and the streets are alive with a seasonal glow. Come Downtown and enjoy the smiling faces and seasonal fun with your family this evening.
