April in northern Michigan is somewhat of a segue season – winter is trying to leave, spring is attempting to arrive. This is a good time to visit the Petoskey Area if you’re just looking to relax, spend some time with someone you care about, and eat!
There are a wealth of terrific restaurants, diners and pubs to choose from in any season, but this April, there are some very special features from which to choose.
On April 11th, Palette Bistro in downtown Petoskey is hosting a Kilwins Chocolate Wine Dinner. We think anything pairs well with chocolate, but these folks really know how to put together a meal!
The Titanic Dinner scheduled for April 12th at Stafford’s Perry Hotel is a step back in time to a more elegant era.
Not only will you be able to enjoy a wonderful five-course meal, but you get an interesting history lesson, too, complete with artifacts.
Another Petoskey eatery, City Park Grill, is going continental and offering an Asian Wine Dinner on April 25th.
Want a little music with your dinner? Check out the Jazz Dinner being held at Sagamore’s at the beautiful Inn at Bay Harbor – A Renaissaince Golf Resort on April 25th and 26th. Entrée choices include Chicken Piccata or Bucatini Pasta.
Each Thursday, treat yourself to all-you-can-eat mussels & fries for only $16 at Boyne City’s Café Sante. Mix-and-match your mussel experience. Join in the fun and enjoy your “Moules et Frites” accompanied by live entertainment every Thursday from 5:30 – 9pm.
Cooking together is also a great way to spend the day, If you want to do that, check out “Cooking With Carl Show – Let’s Cook Italian” on April 12th at the Odawa Casino. This is a fun afternoon of recipes, demonstrations and samplings.
Soon the snow will all be gone and the hiking and biking trails will be calling you. The zip lines will beckon and the morel mushrooms will be taunting you to find them. Until then, eat, drink and be happy!
